Caking her face
She was preparing to go out with her "pals"

She had finished her "early morning routine" of caking her face
And was well on her way out when she heard the news she dreaded like a plague
They were moving to another country! 😲

I want to be here
Besides I have a party this weekend,
How about my friends?
Oh no, I'm going to miss the pool party scheduled for next month!"
She kept complaining

They had packed thier loads
She had said her "byes"
She inevitably wept throughout the journey
No one could console her

Alas they had arrived at thier new abode
She wiped her tears immediately
She smiled
She was awed by the beauty of the land
"I must go sightseeing tommorow" she said

She woke up at the break of dawn before the cock crew,
She started painting her face once again
She added extra effort this time,
She wanted to make a lasting impression

Finally! it was morning!
She was on her way out when she heard her father's voice
"Where to young lady?"
"I want to check out the land Dad"
"Is that why you're dressed like this?" her father replied angrily
"I'm 18 for heaven's sake Dad!, let me be!" she slammed the door furiously .

As she took a walk around the city
People noticed her
Her beauty was eminent
She waved at some
Smiled at some and made a few friends

She sighted a handsome young man
She gave him a small shy smile
He came over to say hi 🥰
It was evident that he was rich
She later discovered that he was the governor's son F😎

He claimed to love her
And honestly, I think he really did
He defiled  her 😶

She was a virgin

She ran home with a blood stained cloth
Her father was mad
Her brothers' twice as Dad's
"I warned you but you wouldn't listen" he said
And her brothers had their revenge planned out 😲

Some days later
There was a goodly knock on the slick old door
It was the governor's son and his family members🤤
"Give us your daughter to bride" they said

Her brothers thought "Now's a good time to execute our revenge plan"
Seeing the fire of love in the eyes of the governor's son 👀
They knew he would sail the world to marry thier sister.

They asked for the "almost impossible"
Requesting that the men of the city circumcize themselves 😫
The people of the land thought about it and decided "Why not give it a shot?"

They all circumcized themselves
They were sore and could barely move
The brothers of Dinah thought "it is time for revenge"
They slew all the males
Including the Governor and his son

The whole town was destroyed
Because of the mistake of a damsel
And the carelessness of a guy
